Pray for Peace Journey

As everyone in our country and abroad is aware, the United States is in unprecedented waters. Not only are we facing a great political divide, but we are all scared for what the future might hold. However, while the news is shouting and the people are screaming, there are some, who want to be a calm in the storm.

In fact, there is a group of individuals from Wichita Falls, Texas who have set out to change the focus of the conversation. Leaving on November 4th in a 5.5 ton Army Truck, on what they call the Pray for Peace Journey, their goal is to land at our Nation's capital on Election Day. And while it may be easy to jump to conclusions, this movement is not about promoting one party over another, or even getting out the vote, their mission is simply to unite people in prayer, as we pray for peace for our beloved Nation. They reference 2 Thessalonians 3:16 as their mission statement.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

As it turns out, they are not the only ones interested in shifting the focus of our Nation. Pastor John Riggs of the Texoma Cowboy Church set out on horseback on September 29th. Stopping to talk to churches and people along the way, their 40 day ride will land them in D.C. on Election Day as well.

These two groups plan to meet up in Alexandria, Virginia on November 7th and head to the White House together, as a united front in their prayer for peace.

Here at Paul Bond Boots, we could not be more proud of our fellow Americans. We too believe in the power of people and prayer. As Election Day draws nearer, we pray not only for the journey of our friends but for all Americans. It is a time to unite.

We encourage all who are interested to follow their journey on Facebook:
