Western spirit with a spark of rebellion.
Now known as the Mohave, this boot carries the lively character of a woman Paul Bond and his wife remembered fondly — someone whose presence left a mark wherever she went. Mrs. Bond often said, “to know her was to love her,” and that same charm and bold spirit live on in this striking design.
Cut from sleek black calfskin, the Mohave’s clean silhouette is elevated by a bold Southwestern inlay across the shaft — a vibrant nod to the desert landscapes and cultures that shape the American Southwest. The boot stands 14 inches tall, shaped with a sharp snip toe and a 1½-inch heel carved in an extreme slant, giving it a confident, unmistakable profile.
Finished with a traditional welt sole, classic pull straps, and tonal black stitching throughout, the Mohave blends heritage craftsmanship with a touch of desert attitude. It’s elegant, spirited, and just a little daring — much like the legend who inspired it.
Fit & sizing
Men's 7–15 in D (average) and EE (wide). Women's 5–12 in B (average) and C (wide). Built on the original Paul Bond lasts, so they may fit differently from Bond Boots.
Made to order: shipping & returns
Your pair is started when you order and ships free and insured in about 3 months. Because each pair is built for you, made-to-order boots are reviewed case by case for returns under our refund policy. That's why a bootmaker confirms your size first. Read the full policy.
Care
Condition calfskin every few months; brush suede dry and treat it with a suede protector before first wear. Keep exotic leathers away from heat. Store with boot trees. When the sole wears, the welt lets a cobbler replace it.
