John Wayne’s order card, his measurements in the bootmaker’s hand, is part of the Paul Bond archive. Paul Newman and Sam Elliott sent signed photographs. Generations of working cowboys simply wore their boots out and came back for another pair.

How a Heritage boot is made
Three months, one pair at a time
Nothing is waiting on a shelf. Your order starts the work.
Week 1
Your order card
A bootmaker calls to confirm your size and width before any leather is cut.
Weeks 2–4
Pattern & last
Your size is matched to the original lasts and the archive pattern for your design.
Weeks 5–11
Cut, stitch, inlay, last
Shafts are stitched and inlaid by hand, lasted, pegged and welted to a leather sole.
Weeks 12–13
Finish & ship
Hand-finished, inspected and shipped free and insured from Nogales.

Heritage or Bond Boots?
Both are Paul Bond designs. The difference is where and how they're made, and how soon you'll wear them.
